You Bitch! is a photographic series investigating the aesthetics of the “femme fatale” in mainstream digital culture. Invoking the victory statement of the character “Anna Williams” in the game series Tekken, the project delves into the performative representation of the female body in the videogame industry. By referring to the character’s aesthetics, the series attempts to address her sexualised representation.
Team: Nada Adel, Mattia Friso

Mattia Friso is a visual artist working across photography, video, space, objects, and prints. Through interactive environments, his work explores the intersection of technology, perception, memory, and image-making, starting from a personal and queer lens. He uses a material-based, iterative research approach to uncover and question the societal norms embedded within systems of representation, particularly those shaped by technological apparatuses.
Starting from objects and their histories, his work is grounded in still life, examining how systems of classification and collection shape the way nature and material culture are represented and preserved.
