Multi-Channel spatial video installation in 4:3 (1:18 min), 3 CTR monitors, 2 Channel audio
Hypnotic Paranoia is a spacial video installation that explores the potential of the “home” in generating both fear and paranoia.
During the covid pandemic, our house has taken on a central role in our daily routines, replacing any other location in the city. But which fears, anxieties and paranoia are hidden behind this closed space?
Reproducing the aesthetics of the thriller cinema of the 70s–90s, the video installation tries to provoke a state of paranoia in the spectator by using the symbols and objects of the house, matching and overlapping them to create new distorted stories of what surrounds us.
